On the way on Berlin streets…

On the streets of Berlin on the road as “visible queer” is not at anytime easy: in my Trans start time to move in public was already a major challenge. Both questioning, interested but also not to be classified looks met me. Likewise, there were numerous people who ignored it, or gave one or the other positive feedback. What helped me to get more and more self-confidence: were great friends, family and acquaintances who stood by my side and gave me a lot of support. Besides, I wanted it and now it’s part of me. Of course, there are also setbacks of “beloved fellow human beings” who verbally hosted me and also in the company of “visibly queer” friends. But all this makes it all the more interesting to continue, because: who has to tell us in which styling we have to move in public? Exactly, nobody. Therefore, even those, I’ll call them, understand “inexperienced ones” and learn how to deal with them, that there are not only black and white in our society. That’s LIFE…
